Exeter
international airport is to hold an aircraft enthusiasts charity day on Wednesday 25th
July. Gates are open from 10:00 until early evening and the cost will be £5.00 per car. The aim of the day, according to the news release on the
airport web site is to
"...offer young
people an opportunity to investigate a career within aviation. The armed forces careers
information centres, pilots, airline staff and engineers will be on hand to offer advice
and information. The day will combine with a fundraising event where enthusiasts can view
aircraft and chat to various experts."
On view will be a
collection of Hawker Hunter aircraft, helicopters from Yeovilton, Lympstone and Middle
Wallop and a range of light aircraft. The Devon Air Ambulance, Fleet Air Arm, Royal Air
Force Association, Royal Navy, Army and RAF careers will also be in attendance.
Proceeds from the day will
be donated to The Royal School for the Deaf (Exeter) and the Devon Air Ambulance. |
