Shoreham Safety Concerns
Following a spate of incidents this year, local concerns about safety at Shoreham has reached the local press. An article published 30th July reported demands from the local MP and a councillor in whose ward the airport is located for an investigation into safety issues. The concerns come amidst plans to expand operations at the airport to accommodate more scheduled services. The plans involve re-alignment of the main hard runway to an east-west orientation, with commensurate changes in flight paths in an area which sees the airport sandwiched between Brighton to the east and Lancing to the west.
